Here, in the middle of the city, the characters from The Chronicles of Narnia come to life in the form of impressive bronze sculptures. As a cyclist, you pass right by the square and can pause for a moment to immerse yourself in this fantastic world. The sculptures of Aslan, the mighty lion, and the White Witch's throne in particular attract attention. The details of the figures are impressive and give the characters a special presence. The square is not only a place for literature lovers, but also an interesting work of art in the open air - a change from the usual sights. CS Lewis, the famous writer and son of the city, is omnipresent here and also makes this place a small piece of Belfast history.

Nendrum Monastery was a Christian monastery founded in the 5th century. The monastery finished somewhere between 974 and 1178, but the church survived until the 15th century. You can visit the ruins if you're riding past.

Comber Greenway is a popular traffic-free footway and cycling path connecting Belfast city centre with Comber. It's the perfect place to get some fresh air and relieve yourself from the hustle and bustle of city life. There's some beautiful scenery on the way including an array of wildflowers and trees, meadows and grasslands, and excellent views.

This square is a commemoration to the famous British writer, C.S Lewis. C.S Lewis is responsible for writing the series of children's book called The Chronicles of Narnia, an exceptionally popular storyline that has been adapted into many series, movies, and plays today. The square features a number of beautifully crafted sculptures that represent different characters in his book, take a wander around and get lost in the magic!

Best example of a pre-Norman monastic site in Northern Ireland. From around the 5th century, it's a stunning location nestled on the islands jutting into Strangford Lough.

Beautiful Ballywalter Beach! Lovely spot to stop and appreciate the white sand and the view. There are also some sculptures on the promenade and plenty of good ice cream shops on the sea front too.

Ruins of a 12th century Cistercian monastery. A lovely way to spend a few hours exploring the history. It's a open site which can be visited any time, but the small visitors centre is open for a few hours at the weekend.

Northern Ireland's last working windmill. It's open to the public and can be booked as a guided tour.
