Beautiful Romanesque church with interesting frescoes.

Romanesque church from the 12th century. Like many churches, it was later rebuilt and given a Baroque look. It was not until 1960-62 that the original (?) state was restored, the church tower was reduced by one storey, and the large Baroque windows were made smaller. Unfortunately, unsuitable plastering material was used, which caused further damage to the church. Since 2003, a support association has been looking after the preservation of the church building. Extensive renovation from 2005-12, and a cemetery was re-established in 2012. On the patronal day of September 1, 2013 (840th anniversary of consecration), the altar was consecrated and the church was handed over to the parish of St. Stephan Putzbrunn, completely renovated.

This old Romanesque church is always worth a detour. It is a very special place where one finds contemplative rest. Outside the church there are some cast-iron grave crosses with beautiful inscriptions.
