At the summit there is a large cross and several benches. It's a wonderful place to rest.

I took the path from the Weilheimer Hut, and from the wooden cross onward, a narrow path was visible. The path isn't obvious from below, but it becomes clear bit by bit with careful, slow walking. It then leads over scree, so surefootedness is essential, and is marked by cairns. Anyone who misses the path along the way will have a hard time finding it again, as it is no longer maintained and has no visible markings. Therefore, it's only for experienced hikers. I do NOT recommend descending from this side.

The path from the car park to the shelter is also an educational trail - here is an excavated and upside down root of a "shallow rooter"
