Most tourists drive or walk past the monastery inn because they are drawn to the top - but it is a bit quieter and more civilized and the food is highly recommended - there is also a beer garden with a view of the church of Andechs

The Little Mermaid in Herrsching am Ammersee is a popular bronze sculpture located directly on the promenade of Lake Ammersee. It depicts a mermaid resting on a catfish. The sculpture was created in 2005 by the artist Hildegard Grotewahl and presented to the municipality of Herrsching as a gift.
