The view of Lake Constance and the Appenzell Alps is phenomenal, especially when there are no trees, unlike on the Pfänder! I cannot agree with the previous commentators Rosefahrer and Philipp: the gravel path is very steep coming from Lützenreute-Mühle, so in my opinion it is not "very easy to drive on". But once you are at the top, it is great. And you can't "drive almost up" by car either, as the gravel section is prohibited for motor vehicles at least.
