The circular trail around the Petersberg is a great tour for anyone who loves nature. The combination of forest paths and open spaces is very varied. The view from above is breathtaking. However, you should wear sturdy shoes as the path is partly rocky.

The Ottenhofen train station is located right on the edge of the Frankenhöhe nature park and is therefore ideal for hiking trips.

Make yourself comfortable on the bench and take a short break. From here you have a wonderful distant view of Marktbergel and the surrounding region.

Rock cellars are a central cultural asset of the Aischgrund. From Marktbergel to Adelsdorf you can find them in almost every place. Sometimes in the middle of the village, often on the outskirts, occasionally in the woods. It could be up to 1000 cellars in total. Today they serve as bat roosts.
