The Devil's House in the forest above Burgbernheim is a viewing platform built around a tree. From here you have a wonderful view. The name comes from an old legend that says that the devil is said to have been here. Unfortunately, the platform is currently closed and is to be renovated.

The fortified church of St. Johannis in Burgbernheim dates back to the 15th century and was built at a time when it was common to design churches not only as religious but also as military protective structures. The church served the citizens of Burgbernheim as a place of refuge in times of war and danger. Its robust construction and the integration of defensive elements reflect the need to defend against attacks.

Beautiful pavilion on the edge of the spa park. Also nice to enjoy the sun in the evening, if it's shining.

The brewery inn "Kohlenmühle" is a top address as a reward after a hike in/around Neustadt a.d. Aisch, especially when the weather is nice, with its cozy beer garden including mega-tasty "Moggerla" & saulegger-crispy Schäuferla! 😋🍺⚫️🍗👌🏼🔝

As of Easter 2024... the tree has not yet reached its border 😜. It's impressive to see how big a tree like this can grow.
