Miracle Beautiful Church of St. Martin

The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Martin in Pfeffenhausen in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut is a three-aisled basilica in the neo-Gothic style. It was built from 1885 to 1887 using an older tower and is also known as the Hallertau Cathedral due to its size. The church was first mentioned in a document in 1040 as a baptistery for a larger area, when the Counts of Ebersberg donated their properties in Pfeffenhausen to the Ebersberg Benedictine monastery. In 1125 Pfeffenhausen was first mentioned as a parish incorporated into Ebersberg Monastery. From 1611 the parish was incorporated into the Jesuit College in Munich, and from 1782 to 1802 the Order of Malta. Pfeffenhausen is considered an original parish, since in the surrounding places such as Niederhornbach, Pfaffendorf and Rainertshausen own parishes were only set up in the course of the following centuries. Today all four parishes in the political community of Pfeffenhausen are reunited to form a parish community. Source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin_(Pfeffenhausen) p.s.
