The monastery church in Lobenfeld, a district of Lobbach in the Rhein-Neckar district in northern Baden-Württemberg, dates back to the 12th century and was the church of the Lobenfeld monastery, which was closed in 1560. The church is one of the most important Staufian buildings in Baden-Württemberg and is one of the few surviving Romanesque buildings in the Kraichgau. During the winter months, the monastery church is only open on Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. But you can get the key at the Gasthaus Kloster (a Greek restaurant, map in the display case in front of the church, closed on Tuesdays). Karsten has written almost perfectly about the story here. There is a good information board on site with the most important information. Only the monastery church can be visited at certain times (separate highlight). The monastery grounds cannot be entered. But you can arrange a viewing. Information about this can be found on the notice board on the church square (see also the photo). But what you can see from the public path is worth it! At the church at the entrance to the parking lot you will find a well-made information board with the most important information and maps (historical and today).
