The so-called Horse Fountain, located on Hauptstraße in Niefern, was inaugurated on November 30, 2013. The idea for the fountain and its procurement came from Ulrich Kollmar. The sculpture featuring a rider and horse was designed by Berlin artist Bärbel Dieckmann.

All of the fruit trees that are there could be purchased with a small donation at the beginning of the State Garden Show in 1992. Back then, they also had nameplates on them. Today, they are looked after by the city.
