I stopped a little way down this path, found a great spot to enjoy the views and have a spot of 🥪

Cycled this in dry weather on my gravel bike in summer and really enjoyed every part of it. A little overgrown in a few places. I would imagine in the wet or after heavy rainfall, this to be hard work.

Great in the dry, if a little bumpy, Wheel sucking mud when wet, I usually nip round the road when its wet

Excellent views to be had of this valley from the hills either side! This section is best ridden or walked in the spring or autumn when the crops aren't around and when it's not too wet.

Excellent route virtually all off-road!

This is a pleasant cycleway between Harpenden and Luton with very little traffic during the day. It's got a good surface and nice views, especially during the autumn time with the falling leaves.

Worth spending a few moments here to admire the views

Amaravati is a Theravada Buddhist monastery situated at the eastern end of the Chiltern Hills in south-east England. It is near the Hertfordshire village of Great Gaddesden. Amaravati opened formally in 1985, after the English Sangha Trust had purchased the site from Bedfordshire County Council. It had formerly been a residential school and consisted of several large huts in Canadian cedar, built by the Canadian Air Force before World War II.

This was on my route unexpectedly. Left my mouth open for a bit. Very beautiful.

Great gravel and amazing views in all directions

Watch out for some fly-tipping mess at the western, Hitchin Road end. The undergrowth was also fairly dense in peak-summer.

This is a fun climb that peaks at around 15% toward Telegraph Hill. On a gravel bike, the steepest bits also require navigation over/around tree roots.

Cracking little climb !

I rode this Yesterday, way too muddy at the moment, fighting for traction in places. Definitely a tough climb, probably more doable when dry.
