The church is very bright inside because there are no colored windows. This makes the baroque altars stand out in their colorful way.

The town hall was built in 1784. Above the archway is the Riegel coat of arms, a male head in profile. The depiction probably goes back to a Roman coin.

The old brewery in Riegel am Kaiserstuhl is now an art gallery with high-quality, changing exhibitions that you wouldn't expect in a small town like Riegel. Every exhibition I've visited there so far has been a great experience. Take a look, even if you're actually looking for the beer garden (it's right next door). It's worth it! The exhibition space is limited. But each exhibition has a theme. And this is comprehensively illuminated, documented by impressive works and commented on by explanatory texts. There is also the Messmer Gallery, in which a contemporary artist presents his or her new work. Today, on a bike ride around the Kaiserstuhl, I visited an exhibition of hand-picked graphic works by Marc Chagall on the theme of 'dreamed worlds', as well as works by the Georgian artist Nina in the Messmer Gallery.

It is always worth a trip to and through Endingen. Endingen is a beautiful village, especially in the center. The hiking and cycling trails are also recommended

The Catholic parish church of St. Martin was built between 1743 and 1749. It is considered one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Breisgau and can be visited, which I definitely recommend.
