Great place to enjoy a small picnic with a table during the day right by the Glotter. The view is not earth-shattering. In the evening you'll mostly find people there drinking a beer after working in the vineyards. If you can do without a table, you should take a rest a few meters up into the vineyards (two beautiful parallel paths), as the view is much more worthwhile there.

St. Blasius is the Roman Catholic parish church of Glottertal. The mighty, towering basilica without a transept stands freely on the border between Lower and Upper Glottertal on the church square, north of the main road. The western gable wall of the former choir is decorated with a glass mosaic of St. Christopher, leaning on a tree trunk and with his cloak flowing, carrying the baby Jesus through a river. This artist's rest area with vinewood angels made from old vines is located on the hiking trail, surrounded by vineyards. During Advent and Christmas there is a very special attraction in Glottertal, when the tranquil wine village becomes the "Valley of Angels" and these can be visited on a short circular route.

In the middle of the village lies the mighty Catholic St. Blasius Church, dating from 1893/1895. The choir, which is now used as a sacristy, is still standing from the medieval parish church built on this site in 1458. The gable wall above the entrance is decorated with an artistic mosaic of St. Christopher.

Orchards, the gentle rippling of the small river, views of the neighboring sunny vineyards and wooded mountains: idyll in the lower valley of the Glotter.
