Beautiful view, on one side into the valley and on the other side into the grasslands

Superb esplanade enriched by the Peynet kiosk. The park, below, is magnificent and encourages strolling. Do not hesitate to leave Via Rhôna and enter old Valencia, the Cathedral, the House of the Heads, the parks and alleys will enchant your trip.

Very impressive edge, which drops almost vertically to the south for 100 m and then over 1000 m to Die. The view over the Vercors plateau and the long chain with the Grand Veymont is also impressive. A long path runs along here, which leads to the edge several times. You should watch where you step... Easiest to reach from the large "Montagne de Beure" car park, to which the D 815 leads up from the "Col de Rousset". Here you can make a circular route out of it.

The Rock of Cairo is a cliff overlooking Rémuzat. Facing due east, the morning sun quickly warms the air. It is this phenomenon which allowed the reintroduction of vultures into this area. From the rock you can observe vultures including the Egyptian vulture, although it is becoming rarer. A place not to be missed in the region!

On the edge of the Rhône valley, Clansayes is a charming little village in Tricastin, in Provencal Drôme, perched on a rocky peak that was once fortified. Built on this promontory, the Templar tower, whose construction dates back to the 12th century, is surmounted by a statue of the Virgin. At the foot of the keep, enjoy a magnificent view of Tricastin and the Rhône valley.

To see the lavender fields in bloom in Drôme Provençale, it is best to come between mid-June and the end of July.

This monumental portal, dating from the 18th century, is the last vestige of the abbey dwelling of the mother house of the order of Saint-Ruf. This portal and the buildings located to the south were registered as historical monuments in 1999.
