It's worth a detour; you have to see the highlight, which is located about 2 km off the cycle path.

This is a place where your heart will melt. (When the weather's nice :-)) Vast landscapes, gentle but well-maintained bike paths, views of nature as far as the eye can see. What more could you want? It's best not to rush, but to enjoy.

The stretch between Werfen and Golling along the federal highway is very dangerous because of the trucks. My landlady advised me against it and told me to take the train. I don't tend to over-dramatize things, but just look at the pictures of the narrow federal highway.

The gorge is a must-stop.

In the Liechtenstein Gorge, oh wonder of nature, the water ripples at breakneck speed – a cold tour. You hike up steps and wooden bridges, and are caressed by the spray, quite uninvited. The rock walls whisper: "Stop, you wet spot!" A rain of drops, a fine layer of dirt. Your shoes sweat, your hair flies, but the laughter remains when bubbles spray. A would-be temperature check at the end: "Water cools down, but courage remains in the gloom." From the echo of the water to the sunshine: an adventure, wet yet so fine.
