Very nice public path to cut through to Wood Lane and there is big gate to stop you flying right into very fast traffic.

Pretty level ride close to the Thames. Only hassel is several 'reduced width' barriers en-route requiring a dismount.

Can do a loop, run/hike rather than bike.

Very nice to watch the ducks and geese relaxing on the weir.

Lovely wide gravel path alongside the quiet & serene Jubilee River.

Its primary purpose is flood alleviation for the River Thames. It was constructed as part of the Maidenhead, Windsor and Eton Flood Alleviation Scheme (MWEFAS) and opened in 2002. During periods of high flow in the River Thames, water is diverted into the Jubilee River upstream of Maidenhead, flowing parallel to the Thames, and rejoining it downstream of Windsor. Nice little bridge crossing over the Juiblee River just outside Slough. You can cross the river to reach the town where there is a handful of amenities.
