Dunkery Beacon at the summit of Dunkery Hill is the highest point on Exmoor and in Somerset, England. It is also the highest point in southern England outside of Dartmoor. The sandstone hill rises to 519 metres and provides views over the surrounding moorland, the Bristol Channel, and hills up to 86 miles away.

A nice refreshing stream to stumble upon on your run around the Quantocks.

The Great Road in Somerset is a wonderful old road spanning 4.6km through the north-east of the beautiful Quantock Hills. The road provides a fairly steep and continuous climb or ascent (depending on which way you're travelling) fit with incredible views over the surrounding countryside. Sections of the route can get a little rocky underfoot, so watch your step.

Bicknoller Post offers the runner a perfect resting spot high up in the Quantocks where you can enjoy uninterrupted views across the Bristol Channel and toward South Wales.

The highest northerly point on the Quantock Hills, the trig point and summit of Beacon Hill is a great viewpoint and run target. It stands at 310m and looks down over Bridgewater Bay and the Kilve coast. The running along the trails on the Quantock ridge is brilliant and although sometimes wet underfoot it's always good. You can run a long loop out to Wills Neck or further or link Beacon Hill with a coastal loop past Kilve.

Hurley Beacon at 353m is one of the high points on the western Quantock Hills. The views west from here towards Exmoor and north towards the sea are beautiful. There is evidence of human activity here with an ancient tumulus visible. When running the ridgeline along the Quantocks or one of the loops it's really worth deviating out to some of these high points on the western edge to take a breather and cast your eyes over the views, it's an awesome place to run so it's nice to stop sometimes and appreciate it!

Fantastic View and either a easy climb out or fast descent into the combe

Fabulous views both east and west along the coastline and across the Bristol Channel to Wales. The trig point is at 310m, the highest northerly point on the Quantock Hills.

A good rest point with Lady’s Edge, Weacombe, Beacon Hill, Smiths Combe and Bicknoller Combe all nearby

Standing at 951 feet (290m), Bicknoller Post is a marker for this hill summit, one of the many in the Quantocks Hill Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It gets its name from the village of Bicknoller to the West edge of the Quantocks. Up on the tops here, you will get to experience some incredible views over the moorland, woodland and towards the coastline.
