The Danube Bridge in Linz, built in 1938, is 250 meters long and 30 meters wide. The six-lane road connects the state capital with the beautiful Mühlviertel region. The tram and the Pöstlingberg railway cross the rapids of the Danube here. There is also a cycle path.

Especially in the dark season it is a great experience to stand in front of the “Light Fountain”.

A nearly 9-meter-high steel stele rises from a round granite base, which also serves as a bench. With a clear, coherent, top-class building, created by the Zurich architects Weber & Hofer, Linz has had an art museum of international standing since 2003. The museum, which is impressive in its simplicity and contours the city skyline, has already become a Linz landmark with the nightly lighting of its glass shell.
