The Shalom Monastery in Pupping - Franciscans Since 1998, a small, Franciscan-influenced community of Franciscan brothers, a sister, and members of the OFS (Ordo Franciscanus Saecularis) from various countries of origin and cultures has lived at the Shalom Franciscan Monastery. The Gasthof Klinglmayr is a cozy restaurant and wine bar in Pupping that offers regional specialties and a wide selection of wines. The inn was run by Wolfgang Klinglmayr, who is also an experienced sommelier. The inn has about 100 seats and is open from Thursday to Sunday and Monday lunchtime. The inn is also a wine shop that sells various wines and spirits. The inn is known for its Austrian cuisine without frills and gimmicks, which is prepared with high-quality basic products and solid craftsmanship. The classics include boiled beef, onion roast, stuffed veal breast or pancakes. Depending on the season, there is also fresh asparagus, mushrooms, game or domestic ducks.
