A trail, secured in places with wire ropes, runs between the Kellerjoch Hut and the Kellerjoch Chapel. It's easily walkable, but sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential.

Wonderful view of the Kellerjoch Chapel and further into the Inn Valley. The chapel has stood there at 2,344 meters since 1931.

The four-kilometer route descends from the Hecherhaus to the Grafenast mountain hut – momentum, powder snow under your runners, and magnificent views included. This route is perfect for anyone who loves winter action and wants to enjoy the scenery. The ascent can be made either on foot or with the Kellerjochbahn cable car. In winter, the Kellerjochbahn chairlift takes you up to the Hecherhaus at 1,887 meters. There, you can stop for a bite to eat, stay overnight, or even start your snow adventure right away. You can find more information about the inn on its website: https://www.hecherhaus.at/.

Demanding climb

Numerous serpentines wind through the picturesque mountain landscape between the Kellerjochhütte and the Naunzalm. It is worth stopping every now and then to enjoy the fantastic view of the surrounding peaks and down to Schwaz.

Nestled at an altitude of 1,200 metres in the Hohe Tauern National Park, the rustic Astenhütte offers the best conditions for passionate mountain bikers. The hut itself impresses with its chic flair, with electricity, hot water and a cozy wood-burning stove, ideal for relaxing evenings after an active day. In the immediate vicinity you can observe marmots and, with a bit of luck, find mushrooms for dinner. A special highlight is the private chapel and the fountain next to the hut, which exude additional charm. The Astenhütte is open from May to November and can accommodate up to three people.
