The asphalted meadow path leads between Steinach am Brenner and Trins along the Gschnitzbach. It is easy to ride. There is a forest path on the other side of the stream.

Schneeberg Castle was first mentioned in documents in 1297. Parts of the defensive wall and the striking round tower still exist from this period. In 1571, the medieval complex was converted into a Renaissance castle. A devastating fire destroyed it in 1771, and the ruins were then converted into a castle-like residence. Today it is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside.

On a wonderful hiking trail you stroll along the Gschnitzbach with a fantastic view of the mountains.

In the Wipptal holiday region lies Steinach am Brenner with its small but fine bike park Tirol. A couple of exciting routes, a warm-up zone and a slopestyle area await you here. The blue freeride route (https://komoot.de/highlight/835602) is around 1,900 meters long and is suitable for beginners as well as professionals. The red route (Red Devil) is more difficult and steeper and has already been the scene of downhill races. Over a length of around 1,500 meters, you can expect an interplay of berms, step-ups, step-down jumps and north shores. You and your bike will be transported to the start of the route by gondola lift. A stay in Steinach am Brenner is also highly recommended if you like to go on longer bike tours. For example, you can take a tour to Innsbruck on the beautifully situated Wipptal cycle path or explore the numerous trails in the area by mountain bike.
