Bridge here can become very congested with cars during peak hours. If visiting to appreciate the scenery, try to avoid busy periods for the best experience.

Extremely muddy to the point of boggy in winter into spring. East to west you have a hill to deal with so I imagine it's easier in reverse. Have come down here in summer and it's pretty great in the dry.

From this point you can run through the gate and across the golf course towards the uni or continue in either direction on the circular Bath Skyline route across Bathampton Down. The running is great in any direction with nice grassy trails and great views over the city.

The Bathampton Inn opens from 11:00 - 23:00 Mon to Sat and 11:00 - 22:30 Sun.

The George Inn is near here next to the canal and popular with cyclists. Opens 11:00 - 23:00 Mon to Fri. 09:30 - 23:00 Sat and 09:30 - 10:30 Sun.

A great bridleway... nice and firm.

Lovely stretch of trail that winds through pretty countryside. While the path is tree-lined, occasional gaps reveal pretty meadows and great views either side.

This stunning bridge was built in 1872 from local Bath stone. A Grade II-listed structure, it spans the River Avon and is still an operational toll bridge. With nine spans and a weir just downriver, it's one of Bath's many picturesque spots.

Great views, roads ok but definitely plenty of pothole dodging

Came down it. A bit adventurous, especially at the bottom... quite muddy. Wouldn't wanna climb it... brutal... but whatever floats your boat.

Always make sure you have your mask with you.

Its tough but you get rewarded with a nice view at the top

Lovely spot and good pub- The Bathampton Mill

A less popular but narrower bridlepath to the South of Marshfield. Bit trickier to ride than Monument Lane and Green Lane but still doable on a CX or gravel bike. Generally less walkers, runners and riders but still ride with caution on blind bends.
