Really shouldnt be missed - 500 year old smugglers pub. Beer much better than expected from gravity pours. And the cafe next door does wonderful crab sandwiches.

Langerstone Point protrudes from the beautiful South Devon coastline and features rugged cliffs and sweeping sea views across the English Channel. The area is connected to several nearby trails leading to places like Gara Rock, East Portlemouth and Salcombe.

The lighthouse can only be visited on Wednesdays and Sundays. Otherwise it is closed, but you can rent accommodation there.

Impossible to miss on your right as you go down the hill

Mill Bay is a beautiful sandy beach on the east side of the Salcombe Estuary. At low tide the beach stretches to East Portlemouth. This spot is popular with families, as there are nearby facilities.

Hallsands was once a thriving coastal village with a church built in the early 1500s. In 1890 the Plymouth navel dockyard expansion began, which included dredging sand off the coast at Hallsands to build the breakwater. The beach at Hallsands started to drop and when the winter storms hit most of the houses were destroyed. A legal battle for compensation began, which took several years before fault was found. Today what remains of the village is inaccessible and dangerous, but you can see it from the coast path and viewpoint.

Gara Rock on the coast path stands above Abraham's Cove. All of the coast here is wonderful walking with great views and beautiful trails.

Nice section of the South West Coast Path between Mill Bay and Limebury Point. Great views across the river to Salcombe and out towards Bolt Head.

Prawle Point is the southernmost point of Devon. There is a coastguard lookout point here with an interesting information board. The South West Coast Path passes here and the running is excellent in both directions.

Beautiful beach, steep climb down so take care.
