One of the few places nearby where you can cross the construction site North-South

Draycote Water is an artificial reservoir (23 million m3), which was completed in 1969. In addition to its function as a water reserve, it is a leisure park u.a. for anglers, sailors, hikers. The rich bird life invites also to observations. Swimming is not allowed in the lake.

Excellent 8km cycling with great views and rest areas.

St John the Baptist church, a beautiful place to take a moment mid-ride. You can walk all around the church and marvel at the architecture.

You get on here at bottom of the hill going towards Draycote.

Broadmoor Bridge No 150 is a minor waterways place on the Oxford Canal (Southern Section - Main Line) between Cropredy Wharf Bridge No 153 (Cropredy) (6¾ furlongs and 1 lock to the south) and Fenny Compton Wharf (5 miles and 3½ furlongs and 8 locks to the northwest). The nearest place in the direction of Cropredy Wharf Bridge No 153 is Cropredy Marina (small mooring basin); 2 furlongs away. The nearest place in the direction of Fenny Compton Wharf is Broadmoor Lock No 24; ¼ furlongs away.

A nice place to stop and rest a while.

Left to Barby or just up the hill there is the Rugby Model Railway Society...

You cant go right up to the windmill, but the land owner installed a rest stop with a bench. He even planted the tree that can be found there.

Stopped for the views and there were free courgettes at the side of the road, how refreshingly nice

Great views across the farm land

There is one problem with this side of Draycote water and that's the bugs. The wind blows across the lake and you get a face of bugs. But the views are good and it's always a good section of a ride, always busy when the weather is good...

The windmill at Napton is on private property, you cant get too close, but there is a nice little picnic spot with a couple of benches for visitors to have a moment, there isnt a bin so you will need to take rubbish with you.

You cant get close to the windmill, due to private land, but there is a super cute little picnic area on the right to grab a snack and breather, before heading back off. The keeper of the livestock nearby, actually planted the tree that overhangs the bench amny years ago. It's still going strong today.

Nice track to take you out of Rugby, very popular with walkers and families.
