Immediately after his election, before bestowing the traditional blessing "urbi et orbi" (to the city and the world) on the waiting faithful, he addressed the people gathered in St. Peter's Square, as well as those participating via radio, television, and online media, with these moving words: + "Peace be with you all! Dear brothers and sisters, this is the first greeting of the Risen Christ, the Good Shepherd... I too hope that this greeting of peace will enter your hearts, reach your families, all people, wherever they are, all nations, the whole earth. Peace be with you!" It's now become a photo hotspot. It's funny what art can trigger in people. Touch it! The nose is happy in its place. There it breathes in the Danube, the apricots, and the wine. It's a true symbol of the Wachau region. The Wachau Nose is a work of art by the artist group Gelitin, located near the St. Lorenz ferry. The monumental sculpture, shaped like a giant nose, is located on the banks of the Danube and is a humorous and unique art project. Gelitin, a group of artists from Austria, created the work by collecting nose profiles from locals and combining them into a "hybrid nose." The sculpture is partially buried in the ground, so only the distinctive nose is visible. It invites visitors to marvel and smile and is a fascinating example of the creative art of the Wachau region.

A not much used, unmarked Stoasteig leads to the Kienstockspitze. Watch out below the stone formation to branch off at the small stone mandala - Komoot helps a lot with this. You will be rewarded with a great view.
