The Wilhelm-Eichert-Hütte enjoys a scenic location on the ridge above Weidlingbach and is a popular stop in the Eichenhain Nature Park. After the climb, you can rest in the garden or on the terrace and enjoy the view over the Vienna Woods hills and valleys. It's an ideal destination or stopover for hikers, runners, and bikers.

It is run like a hotel, and rooms can also be booked through Booking.com. https://www.booking.com/Share-U46846 Neunkirchen entrepreneur Armin Hohenschläger, with his WirtschaftsService Immobilien company, acquired the Hochkogelhaus on the Hohe Wand a few years ago. Now (2023), the former hotel, which most recently housed a few apartments, has changed hands. It was acquired by Hochkogelhaus Hotel Betriebs GmbH.

The house is currently closed. The website says the team is moving? But the view up here is still worth seeing even without catering :) and who knows, maybe a new team will be found soon....

Over the large wooden cross, you can look out into the beautiful landscape.

Very cozy, excellent food. The prices here haven't been raised for a long time, I haven't eaten this cheaply in a long time...
