Superb walking on the Jurassic coast with outstanding views good walking shoes recommended as well as a hat to protect from the wind sun factor which can still burn even on an overcast day.

Salcombe Mouth is a shingle beach but it is most likely the high side of Dunscombe Cliff behind it that you will notice from up here. The cliffs are eroding into the sea and you can easily see the evidence of this splaying out into the water.

From Salcombe Hill Cliffs there are great views west across the town of Sidmouth. The hill beyond it is known as High Peak. It was once an iron age hill fort but has since begun to erode into the sea and only half remains.
