Nearly Wild Camping site, open from the beginning of May to end of October. The site is car free, with a tap and compost loo, and you'll need to take your recycling and waste with you when you leave. On site, there's fresh vegetables and sometimes eggs available to buy, and the eight pitch campsite is suitable for hammocks as well as tents. Situated on a 5 hectare Market Garden, camping pitches are a 200m walk from site entrance and parking, on a small hilltop meadow amongst mature and young trees. There are great views over the surrounding countryside, but it's also secluded. The site is just 5km from the Jurassic Coast and also close to the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths with the RSPB Venn Ottery reserve and East Devon Way hiking trail close by. The River Otter is just 400m away with waterside paths and potential to see beavers, otters, Egrets and kingfishers as well as other birdlife. Price: £9 per person per night. Children £4.
