The Bridleway goes direct to it from behind so you don’t have to go on the road at all, just don’t turn into the actual farm, the bridleway is just after, it’s all well signposted

Watch out for the hidden ruts in the long grass - I found out the hard way. No damage though.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor space with a large bike rail for parking. Good ☕️ and also passed the sausage roll test with flying colours.

Great cafe with good coffee, cakes and food. Highly recommended.

Wicken Bonhunt was once two separate settlements, named as Wica and Banhunta in the Domesday Book. At its most eastern end close to the M11, the Chapel of St Helen is a saxon place of worship dating from the 11th century and possibly the oldest building in east England. An annual service is held in the chapel which is otherwise no longer in use.

A good ride in either direction. The part where it bends around can be muddy/sticky as early as September.

Crossing the road at School Lane leads to a nice little descent through the trees to Royston Rd.
