The Wilhelm Eichert hut will open again at the beginning of May. Michelle Brandstätter and Sebastian Mika are new tenants. The Wilhelm-Eichert-Hütte is not only one of the oldest huts, but at 1052 meters above sea level it is also the highest serviced mountain hut on the Hohe Wand. At the beginning of March, the operators at the time, the Teubl family, closed the hut for personal reasons. Since then, the responsible ÖTK section in Wiener Neustadt has been urgently looking for new tenants. According to chairman Josef Zwickl, there was a "sizable number of applicants who wanted to take over the hut". Now there is a fixed solution.
