Brilliant cafe in High Easter - great place for a cafe stop on a ride through Essex. Well worth checking out

Bannister Green Halt was sited on the up side of the line and consisted of a clinker platform with timber facing raised to rail level; it was attended by staff from Felsted or Rayne Stations. It was one of two halts built by the GER in 1922 to attract passengers to the railway and counteract the then recently introduced bus service. Passengers joining or alighting at the halt were required to use retractable steps mounted by the side of the coach and operated by the guard.

The classic High Easter village sign. High Easter is a village and a civil parish in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. The village is 7 miles northwest from the city of and county town of Chelmsford. The parish includes the hamlets of Bishop's Green and Stagden Cross.

Southbound is a long gradual downhill, with a bit of uphill towards the end. Northbound is a bit of downhill, followed by a punishing long gradual uphill. Alot of wind about here as well.

Blackmore village is a place to visit they have a great Tea room Homemade cakes made on the premises just across the road there is a little church rumour have it Henry the eighth went there

Nice garden to the side. Bike racks are a bit tucked away but there are plenty of places to prop your bike.

Approached from the north via a nice little gradient.

This beautiful tree-lined avenue is located along a quiet country road in White Roding. Look over to the west and you'll see a solitary tree standing tall amidst a sea of rapeseed flowers, a very lovely scene indeed.

Fantastic cafe stop in the pretty village of Blackmore. They've got a great menu and loads of outside space, a real favourite of local and London cyclists.
