Beautiful walk with many views. There are two ways to get to the top: From the Wildenstein waterfall or from the Hochobir parking lot.

The most beautiful way to Hochobir starts from the Schaidasattel. Runs mostly through the forest until you are above the tree line and from there you are quickly at the summit. Return to the Eisenkappler Hütte and then under the hut along the hiking trail to the Schaidasattel. Down in some places very steep, alternately it goes on flat. A nice trail with a good view.

The Rainer-Schutzhaus was a former miners' accommodation for the local lead mining industry, which the tradesman Viktor von Rainer donated to the section after the mine closed. The hut housed the highest weather station in the monarchy until the construction of the Zittelhaus in 1886, for which a telegraph line was also built in 1882.
