This path starts from the parking area off the main road and gives you access to the Frensham ridge above the little pond and overlooking Great Pond.

Can get quite busy here at the weekends but mid-week it's super quiet.

Cute little boardwalk, clockwise round the pond from the cafe. Fun for kids, fun for adults.

As the path round Frensham Little Pond heads into woodland, a raised boardwalk tracks across a boggy area. Very nice and cool in the summer.

Swimming is not permitted at Frensham Little Pond, but this still makes a lovely spot to pause for a while. You can see straight across to the reed beds on the eastern shore. The beach is set in a backdrop of pine trees. A lovely place to hang out on a hot summer's day.

There are cracking views of both the Big and Little Frensham Ponds from up here on the King's Ridge. So called as King Edward VII watched his troops from this vantage point. In the spring and early summer when the gorse is out, it somehow becomes even more stunning.

Frensham Great pond was created in the 13th century to provide a source of fish for the Bishop of Winchester. Today it's managed for leisure and wildlife. You can swim here, making it a great place for a run and a swim. Watch out for signs about the blue-green algae, which is sometimes present.

The little pond was created in the 13th century to supply fish for the Bishop of Winchester. Today Frensham Common and the ponds are internationally important for the plants and animals which live on the heath. It's managed by the National Trust. Tern Café is a National Trust café near the car park at Frensham Little Pond. It's a friendly place in a great location with lots of benches to sit and enjoy the sun. They serve a nice selection of drinks, snacks and light meals.
