This is a very nice place the car park is very close to the board walk also look out for lizards on the board walks, I got to see a few of them in the summer.

The ancient market and coaching town of Godalming's characterful boutiques and picturesque surroundings make it a lovely place to visit. For walkers there are pleasant strolls along the River Wey and more energetic hikes on the commons and in the woodlands of the Surrey Hills. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in the town, as well as great places to eat and drink.

The attractive village of Witley has plenty to offer walkers exploring the Surrey Hills. The village neighbours Witley Common, a lovely area of birch, oak and pine woodland and heath. It's managed by the National Trust and is inhabited by nightingales, nightjars and willow warblers, to name just a few. After a stroll, there are a couple of good pubs in the village.
