there is a very welcome little kiosk at the house selling ice cream etc with picnic benches.

Owners are friendly. Lovely place to stop for a rest. Cash is easier as the card machine signal is ropey, meaning you may have to walk up the drive with them to pay.

Wellow Ford. Goes without saying this can flood and become impassable for bikes.

Stoney Littleton Long Barrow is a neolithic chambered tomb located in Somerset that dates back to around 3500 BCE. It is thought to be one of the best preserved examples of its kind in the country! Transport yourself to the past and discover its chambered interior, intricate carvings and ancient artefacts.

Discover this pretty little ford in the picturesque village of Wellow located in the southern tip of the Cotswolds. After a spell of heavy rain, the water may be too high to cross, so you'll have to take the neighbouring bridge to complete your loop.

It's a right, manky lane in winter but quality ford and old humpback bridge. Steep climb out the valley whichever way you're going.

Mells is a small pretty village in northeast Somerset. The streets feel old with several historically important buildings including the old church and manor house. The Walled Garden café and community plant nursery is open for cafe food and pizza from 11:00 - 16:00 Wed to Sun.
