This Grade I listed church dates back to the 12th century. It is right opposite Nunney Castle, which has a surrounding moat, and definitely deserves a visit too.

This picturesque moated medieval castle was built in the 1370s by Sir John de la Mare. It's heavily influenced by French design and features a compact layout with four round corner towers and thick defensice walls.

Avoids the main road but be careful as it can be slippery on damp/wet days

Very friendly farm café and gelateria with really lovely ice cream, bike parking and plenty of space inside, with wood fire stoves to warm up when needed, and out for when the weather’s nice 👍

The biggest ancient semi-natural woodland in the Mendips, Asham Wood is an absolute pleasure to stroll around. Diverse in plants and wildlife, this forest comes alive in spring and summer. The Somerset Wildlife Trust sometimes run events and talks in the woods, to teach visitors about coppicing, local wildlife and conservation.

Avoid crossing the busy main road by taking this underpass

Asham Wood is the largest and most diverse of the ancient semi-natural woods in the Mendips. Inside there are loads of trails to explore on bike or foot!

Rocks here to sit and pause and look over the forest and into the old quarry. Look out for buzzards and butterflies.

So many beautiful flowers here including wild orchids

Ice cream. AMAZING sausage rolls (get one!) and cake. Coffee is from a nespresso style machine so don’t expect too much from that but a lovely place on a cold day as they have a log burner inside, and a nice place to sit in the sun on a warm summer day.

Tunnel which connects Trudoxhill road to Nunney and avoids the larger ridgeway road. Good for cycling, walking and running. Has street lights for night.

Community lead library based out of a phone box.

Pump track just outside Nunney Village. Perfect for kids

So good to miss out the main roads. Slippy in winter though!

A place to stay in a b&b in Trudoxhill with a footpath leading out through the back garden. If you walk through you can see their horses and also pond where 2 black swans live.
