Refreshment stop at the Leigh Arms Pub.

Historic feature and crossing point on the Weaver Navigation.

Part of the GBDivide route. A slightly technical and narrow climb but with great views out over to the south.

You can ride underneath the northern side of the bridge to avoid crossing the road!

There is plenty of parking here, it's advised not to park on the pub car park unless you are going to be a customer. if you are intending to use the pub after your walk, you should be able to use their car park I would just let them know.

The elegant, Grade II-listed Dutton Horse Bridge was built by John Arthur Saner, chief engineer to the Weaver Navigation Trust, in the early 20th century. Spanning a peaceful stretch of the River Weaver, it is one of the earliest examples of a laminated timber structure still standing today.

Great place to stop for some lunch. Impressive locks and places to sit.

Can be a bit muddy at times, nice little track.

The whole area is beautiful.

Great pub for traditional nicely cooked food & well kept Ales. There's a large carpark plus an outdoor children's play area. A great place to start & finish walks in either direction along the River Weaver Navigation.

Acton Swing Bridge spans 272 feet (83.5 m) across the River Weaver. Opened in 1933, the bridge carries the A49 over the river. Today's bridge replaced an older stone bridge at a cost of £52,000. The first bridge dated back to 1751. The iconic steel bridge was based on designs created in 1893 by John Arthur Saner.

when you get to the Delamere area, there are two cafes. The first is quieter and less dogs, but the second has great coffee and even a small bike bike shop

There is a large pub carpark but unless you're going to visit the pub then you could get a frosty reception. However there is also roadside parking . Whatever the Leigh Arms is very pleasant sitting on the banks of the River Weaver serving great food & well kept ales.
