Excellent pub, well worth a visit.

Well worth the minor detour off the surrounding cycle routes to see the picturesque square, with views of the Castle, plus the excellent White Horse pub and an excellent tearoom.

Lovely little village and the cafe is great

Good quality road surface through Bourne Park, with views of Bourne Park house. Relatively flat with a small dip towards the Bridge end.

There is a lovely little market at Whitstable Harbour. It has expanded enormously over the years and now has some really excellent, trendy restaurants as well as arts and crafts stalls where you can find some gems. There are also a number of very cheap stalls selling fresh fish and takeaway food just outside the market itself.

I’d avoid the tea and scones and go straight for the local ale or larger on a hot day!

Very steep at 22% this hills is both favoured and avoided by differing degrees of cyclists
