This is such a gorgeous section of walking high up in the wolds where hills fold over each other and the views stretch as far as the eye can see.

This scenic byway located in the Lincolnshire Wolds between Claxby and Walesby provides the perfect location for a picturesque walk through rolling countryside. The autumnal colours are especially delightful, to be enjoyed between the months of September and November.

The Kings Head is a beautiful, thatched-roof pub located in Tealby, and holds the impressive title of the oldest pub in Lincolnshire, being established since 1397. The pub is open daily from 12pm, and serves up a delicious range of local dishes in a cosy setting.

Rothwell is a charming little rural village located in the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside. The village features a historic church, a number of quaint cottages, and peaceful surroundings.

Whoever told you that Lincolnshire was flat, had not walked the Viking Way to Wold Top. This makes a great spot to stop and have a rest, take in the views and take some photographic proof that the Lincolnshire Wolds has something to offer a hillwalker.

Congratulations! You've just made it to the highest point in Lincolnshire, Wold Top (168m). Fantastic panoramas of the Wolds await.

Nettleton Mine, near Holton Le Moor, Lincs. was first opened in around 1928 by the Mid Lincolnshire Ironstone Co. later coming under the ownership of John Lysaghts and eventually the British Steel Corporation. To begin with horses were used for haulage, the output being tipped from the 2ft 6in. gauge tubs into a hopper from where it travelled down to Holton Le Moor by aerial ropeway where standard gauge sidings connected in from the LNER Barnetby to Market Rasen line.

great historic site with fantastic views, new gate prevents bikes going past this point though, but well worth a quick look
