Aubourn Hall itself is a rare 17th century manor house and something of an ‘architectural riddle’ set in 12 acres of secluded gardens, in the heart of the village of Aubourn. All Saints is a pretty parish church on the outskirts of Wellingore. The church was built in the 12th century and developed over the subsequent three centuries. The spire was added in the 14th century. Inside the north chapel, you can view an important tomb chest to Sir Richard de Buslingthorpe. The tomb dates to 1435 and is topped with reclining alabaster figures of a knight and his lady. The pews, pulpit, font and altar-rail are all from 1881. All Saints is Grade I-listed.

Lovely little spot to take a minute or two while you listen to the water running through the rocks. Cross via the ford if you dare (riding buddies will want to be ready with the camera) as very rocky and often deep, I'd strongly recommend the bridge.
