Short, unproblematic ladder section on the way to the Reither Spitze, although the aluminum ladder does spring a little.

The ridge is quite wide and the path is well-maintained. With some mountaineering experience, this shouldn't be a problem. The difficulty lies in the proximity of the train station, which means there are a lot of hikers wandering around in the slightly alpine terrain.

Ideal for a short circular route: Reith Railway - Schlossbachsteig - Gorge with a fantastic view of the railway viaduct - Hochzirl Railway. (Currently, rail replacement service is in operation until August 2025!) Also suitable as a route for ascent to the Solsteinhaus

Closed from October to mid-December. Self-service fridge empty. But WiFi works!
