Good for grabbing a well earned rest after your hill climbs. Tea and cakes on Sunday afternoon too!

Not open to the public and no cafe near, but nice road riding area. Watch out for pot holes and dog crap on the grass!

Watch out for walkers and dogs!! I found the barrier to be a handy bike stand. It's a really good long ride down a quiet country lane.

Lovely bridleway. Heading south starts as gravel, then grass, then fields then wood. Fields and wood can be difficult to pass in winter

The source of the River Welland issues as a spring at Spring Croft, Church Street in Sibbertoft.

The Hemplow Hills combine vibrant woodland with stirring vistas to make walking here a delight. They are one of the most scenic sections of the Jurassic Way long-distance trail, boasting beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, particularly towards neighbouring Honey Hill.

Built to supply water to the nearby Grand Union Canal, Welford and Sulby Reservoirs are wonderfully scenic. Keep your eyes peeled for carp beneath the surface. A loop of Welford Reservoir is an easy walk from nearby Welford, where there are also peaceful walking options along the canal.

At the source of the River Welland, Sibbertoft is a pretty Northamptonshire village that boasts several listed buildings, notably its Grade II*-listed parish church. You can seek accommodation and good food at the Red Lion.
