Nice cafe with good menu. Enclosed outside space with tables and space for bikes. Very nice staff. Worth a stop on a ride. Recommend the ultimate breakfast baguette - 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 sausages a meal in itself.

There’s a couple of cafes and a Co-op, otherwise not too much to write home about. Despite a lot of old half timbered buildings it’s not the most scenic town.

Nice view of Godmanchester’s best known landmark from the road beside the river. Only visible if you’re riding north.

A beautiful place for a run, just a short distance from St Ives. Houghton Meadows Nature Reserve combines ancient hay meadows with pasture fields. It is especially lovely in the spring and summer when the bright colours of wildflowers adorne the fields.

A mill has stood here for nearly 1000 years. Houghton Mill is the final working watermill on the River Great Ouse. The mill is in the care of the National Trust and is open to the public (entrance fee applies). The town of Godmanchester is siutated on lovely spot on the River Great Ouse, close to Huntingdon. Portholme to the North-West of the town is England's largest meadow.

The town of Godmanchester occupies a lovely spot on the River Great Ouse, on the opposite side to Huntingdon. Historically prosperous due to its position on the Roman Road from London to York, today it enjoys its tranquil riverside setting, with many nearby nature reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Both the Ouse Valley Way and Pathfinder Long Distance Walk pass through the town.
