When you reach the farm look to the right, there is a wooden gate showing the footpath. Continue straight through the gate, keeping to the right you'll see another woodwn gate showing the way.

Don't forget to check out the Druid's Rocks behind the Inn. Great place to explore.

Small craggy tunnel, don't know how far this goes into the rock, I assume it's an exploration shaft from the Lead Mining industrial past.

Great traditional pub and shops for refuelling

This picturesque, winding woodland path is packed with vibrant flowers and towering trees. It’s particularly stunning in spring when the flowers are in full bloom.

The Limestone Way is a waymarked long-distance footpath in Derbyshire, England. It runs for 46 miles (74 km) through the White Peak of the Peak District National Park, from Castleton south to Rocester over the county boundary into Staffordshire. The trail is named for the limestone scenery along its route.

This unusual rock formation in the Peak District is called Robin Hood’s Stride. It’s also known as Grain Tor or the Mock Beggars Mansion because from a distance it looks like it has two chimneys. These gritstone boulders are often climbed and scrambled over. They are accessed via the Limestone Way in the White Peak area of the Peak District and they stand on the old portway, an ancient track that crosses the limestone plateau.

This Grade II listed church was built for William Pole Thornhill, who held the estate of Stanton Hall, Stanton in Peak. The foundation stone was laid by Mrs Thornhill in 1837 and it was opened worship by the Venerable Francis Hodgson DD, Archdeacon of Derby in September 1839.

The church dates from the late 12th century, with 14th-, 15th- and 16th-century elements.

Packhorse Bridge over River Bradford, now footbridge. Limestone rubble with gritstone copings. Narrow bridge, canted to centre, with single segmental arch of rubble voussoirs and low parapets, topped by semi-circular sectioned copings. Parapet walls splay outwards slightly to each end.

Instead of going up hill when you cross the brook turn left and go through the woods following the signs for the Limestone Way it adds about ten mins to the walk and is so much prettier you come out just below the same lane so just turn right and walk up a couple of hundred yards

Follow this route is good as it’s typically the reverse of what others do so less people on your hike

The Druid Inn is named after the druids who practised their magic amidst Rowtor Rocks, which evidently lays right next to the pub

Tucked away off the main road through the village, but worth hunting down for the amazing brownies and flapjack. The chocolate coated biscoff flapjack is the perfect cycling fuel!

On the River Bradford, next to the village of Youlgrave, there’s a designated wild swimming spot. It’s been carved out to be deep enough for swimming and is very popular with locals and visitors alike. There are meadows beside the river to sunbathe and relax after having a dip. It can get busy here at popular times, of course.
