The Nene Valley Railway runs alongside The Nene from Yarwell and Wansford to Peterborough.

Ferry Meadows Railway has been here since the park opened to the public in 1978. The track is laid to a 10.1/4″ inch gauge, it is a very popular gauge for miniature railways as it gives a stable and comfortable ride to the passengers.

It’s like a very long, straight pond. Cycle path is useful for avoiding some of Peterborough’s many busy dual carriageways although it is quite narrow which limits speeds with pedestrians and dogs around.

Ferry Bridge is a lovely place to enjoy the calmness of the River Nene. The bridge was built in 1716 and is a grade II listed building.
