Give yourself plenty of time to complete the walk. It started getting dark so instead of finishing we diverted and headed home to Bradwell. Not the prettiest or most scenic of routes as its mainly just field after field.

Scenic bridleway along the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation Canal into Maldon. It is lined with narrow boats and pleasure craft, and is a popular spot for stand up paddle boarding.

Nice pub to stop off at for food/drinks, with a lovely view of the Heybridge Basin. There are plenty of benches to sit outside if the weather is nice, and good bike space too.

Tillingham is a lovely village and this pub is situated perfectly on the village green. Tons of space to spread out with bikes and enjoy a coffee or drink.
