We took the red route from Komoot. Everything was fine up to about half the route. After that, it wasn't so nice. The path led through tall grass until we finally, without noticing, strayed from the route and ended up in the middle of nowhere. We continued anyway and eventually found ourselves back on the right path. Overall, though, it was a nice hike.

This is an important waypoint, as the direct route to Effeltermühle crosses here. You'll need to be sure-footed and able to carry your bike for 10-20 meters.

The Felsla Cross stands on a rocky outcrop above the Grümpeltal. There is a stone rest area below. On the road from Effelter to the Grümpeltal, the detour to the cross is announced with weathered wooden signs. The bridge on the lower path has been somewhat damaged because a tree fell on it.
