Awesome massive descent if you come from the right side Big pillars either side of the pass make it feel like a canyon

Nice quiet roads especially the back roads.

One minute your in a little town, the next minute thee amazing views.

Best way out of Whaley Bridge to head back to Chapel en Le Frith. Nice climb not to demanding, little traffic and super views. What more can you want!😃

Nice little town with plenty of places to stop and refuel. The dock at the canalside is a pretty place to stop and enjoy the view plenty of seating inside and out with a quirky bookshop/music shop/retro where you can get a tea/coffee and cake and pick up a book. 👍

I definitely prefer riding the Strines from north to south, rolling down to Ladybower Reservoir at the end. Do visit this road when the heather is in bloom. The purple moors are stunning.

Langsett Reservoir is owned and managed by Yorkshire Water to provide water for Sheffield and Barnsley.

Ladybower is a large reservoir in the Upper Derwent Valley surrounded by rugged moorland, rolling farmland and majestic woodland. Above, beside and along the reservoir, breathtaking views await. The reservoir was built between 1935 and 1943. It was officially opened by King George VI in September 1945.

Whaley bridge town centre, has a few decent shops, places to eat, pubs & more importantly a great bike shop. It's also a great place to start & head out into the Peaks 😎👌🏻

a really fast descent from Pym's chair, down to Erwood reservoir

Steep climb, but we'll worth it for the views

Lovely climb this one. The road snakes pleasantly up the hill, with the striking Windgather Rocks always visible, drawing you up. Mostly around 6-7% with several pitches at a wince-inducing 10%+. Once up you get panoramic views and after the Rocks, the gradient levels out so get back on the big ring and fly up to the top! Definitely turn left at the top and into beautiful Goyt Valley. Right and you're descending Pym's Chair and the only way out of the valley is back up some super steep roads in poor condition.

Only 5% gradient for most of the climb, increasing to 10% near the top but doesn't last long.

A nice ride down but be careful. It is narrow and usually lots of cars heading back up. The bottom section is very rough with major potholes. Many punctures on that section.

I prefer riding this lane from Chinley to Hayfield
