Plaque “Argue Well” at the Hardt Chapel An old legend at the Hardt Chapel recalls conflict and reconciliation. The “Footprint in the Stone” serves as a reminder: Arguing well means finding peace in the end. The Hardt Chapel stands on a site where a fierce dispute over grazing rights once erupted between Weilheim and Haunshofen. According to tradition, a shepherd appeared in the midst of the argument, placed his foot on a stone, and said: “As surely as I step into this stone, so surely is this Haunshofen common!” With this sign, the conflict ended, and a chapel was built on this spot in remembrance. The footprint can still be seen in the ground in front of the altar. The motto “Argue Well” serves as a reminder that disagreements are a part of life – what matters is conducting them with respect, truth, and the goal of peace.

Wilzhofen Mill At the Wilzhofen Mill, grain is transformed into flour – a symbol of change that also resonates within us, as something new and refined emerges from hardness. The Wilzhofen Mill evokes a time when the miller's work seemed mysterious and almost magical. The sound of the water, the turning of the mill wheels, the grinding of the grain – all of this was once considered a symbol of hidden powers and transformation. Today, the mill stands for sustainable, regional production: fine flour is created from hard grain – an everyday, yet profound process. Just as the grain is transformed in the milling process, so too can we be transformed through movement and experience. The impulse of "transformation" invites us to reflect on our own life process – as a journey from raw material to something valuable, from the external to the internal.

It leads through an idyllic moorland and drumlins landscape—quiet, expansive, and full of atmosphere. Especially in the morning light or fog, the place unfolds its quiet magic. A short section—yet a powerful experience.
