The River Dearne foot bridge is in a dangerous condition! It looks like it has been subject to some kind of fire, and there are large holes in the foot boards. It seems to have been closed off by the authorities, however someone has pulled the barrier's open and people are using the bridge(cross at your own risk).

Good cafe, interesting curiosity shops and interesting historic buildings.

On the Upper Don Valley section of the Trans Pennine Trail, the tunnel is part of the abandoned railway line between Penistone and Wortley. It's lit and super echoy so quite fun to play in. It's also always really cold, so great on a hot summer day.

This is a Very quiet lane, stop on the bridge and take in the views, very interesting to see the sheer scale & size of the quarry.
